Ufuk Barış Mutlu (1993) is an artist and designer, and a graduate of İstanbul Bilgi University’s Visual Communication Design Department. His artistic practice focuses on physical media artworks shaped by movement, light, fabrication, cultural heritage, and play. He ran commercial visual communication design projects through his award-winning studio, StudioMutlu (2017-2023), before co-founding PostOfis with Serçin Çabuk in 2023. His work has been exhibited at Contemporary İstanbul, Mamut Art Project, Sónar Barcelona, and venues in Amsterdam, Marburg, Munich, and Turin. He published Balta, makas, çekiç (2016), a design research project on Anatolian hand tools. He was selected for the British Council’s AltCity İstanbul residency (2017) and the İstanbul Biennial Production and Research Program (2020). In 2021, one of his works entered the İstanbul Cinema Museum’s permanent collection. In the same year, he received the NEAR Foundation Grant for his sculpture series MeshFlux; the series was included in the Paribu Art Memory collection in 2025. He has been lecturing at Kadir Has University since 2022. In 2023, he completed İstanbul Modern’s visiting artist program.
