Surface Footprint is an experimental project which aims to generate the texture map of a room, by low-tech, autonomous robot and a pen marker.
Electronic substructure is based on Make Magazine's "Beetlebot".

Materials: Laser cut acrylic, machined aluminium, electric motors, switches, steel wire, batteries and pen marker.

Project update! I have designed and made a new aluminium chassis and stainless steel feelers for the durability issues.
